Humana Exec Shuts the Door in Seniors' Faces

No, not figuratively. Literally.
Yesterday, a group of senior citizens from the Associated of Retired Americans tried to speak with a local Humana executive in Florida. Instead of meeting them and hearing their grievances - which included denying care, spending premium dollars on lobbying Congress against health reform and a public health insurance option, and sending misleading scare-mail to seniors - the executive slammed the door in their faces and locked himself in his office.
Watch:
The executive at first told his secretary to tell these people that he was at lunch, which was a lie. Then he barricaded himself in his office. Finally, he faced the crowd.
All these people wanted was a couple minutes of this executive's time, to deliver a letter. He immediately said he'd give the letter to his "media people," even though the letter was for him and the CEO of Humana. And with news media cameras in his face, he once again slammed the door on Americans who just wanted a simple redress of their grievances.
This is how the insurance industry operates. They scare seniors. They rip you off. They use your money to lobby Congress against health care reform. And then they refuse to hear any criticism.
Spread this video far and wide, so people know that if the insurance industry wins, you lose.
This is shameful and disgusting! Humana is stealing from the people who pay their salaries and for that, they should starve.
No one would answer people with a media crew in their face! That is potential for a law suit. That is not the proper way to get your grievances addressed, showing up unannounced and with media. That is a set up.
You are doing just what you claim the insurance companies do. You are scaring the American people to win your side. The only way your plan can work is to add enormous amounts of money to the national debt. This would cause the treasury to print more money and eventually everyones' money would be worth nothing, and taxes will be high. The people that can afford it will be paying for everyone.
I think you should look at tort reform- limiting lawsuits, or caps. These lawsuit amounts lead to huge costs for healthcare providers. Not only that, malpractice insurance for doctors is very expensive putting many doctors out of private practice and adding cost for hospitals. This causes healthcare to cost more. They have make that money somewhere.
Insurance company regulations would also help make it more affordable to everyone.
In our democratic society the government is supposed to regulate to protect people, not step in and provide for people. This country is founded on life, liberty and the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS, not fair and equality for all. There are many programs out there that help people who don't have healthcare, plus insurance company regulation would help improve that. Your ideas are along the line of socialism
and that is scary!!!!!
Yeah, tort reform does nothing, even the doctors admit it:

If you're interested in fixing health care, you should probably stop ranting about "socialism" and start coming up with real solutions.
I've heard about tort reform many times from GOP people but without presenting any hard evidence and statistics. On the other hand, why not seek information from the Congressional Budget Office. ? But then their figures show tort costs are minimal. Tort reform is a bogey. As to the Humana CEO,if he had nothing to hide it didn't matter if the media was there. Indeed it would be an opportunity to show your side. Of course, don't expect Fox to be there. Scare tactics? That's a silly comparison. That's just one person who was 'scared.' The GOP, Fox, Limbaugh, Beck, etc, as well as the insurance companies scare people, on a mass scale.
By the way. Are you a Christian ma'am? Why not read the gospel of Luke 18: 18-23. Equality is what Jesus taught.
