Health Care for America Now Statement on the Passing of Senator Edward Kennedy

Posted on August 26th, 2009 by Jason Rosenbaum in News Clips

From Richard Kirsch, National Campaign Manager, Health Care for America Now:

"Health Care for America Now joins the nation in mourning the passing of Senator Kennedy, for whom our mission - winning a guarantee of good health care for all - was his life's work. We dedicate ourselves in the next few weeks to realizing the vision, passion, and hopes of this great American, firmly in the knowledge that enacting health care reform will rightly be seen as Ted Kennedy's legacy."

I was watching one of the many news programs today, talking about the death of Senator Edward Kennedy. What a strong advocate for health care reform we have lost!
I also heard that there was an email going around that suggested that Health Care Reform be passed in place of sending flowers to the Senator's funeral. What an excellent idea!
has anyone else heard of this?

Paul says:

Yes, and I've already faxed and called the White asking them to name the public option after the late Senator. (The bill that bears his name includes a public option.)

This bill will be a milestone for reform and a test of honor. Mr. President, rally your party.
