Historic: Ways and Means and Education and Labor pass a health reform bill in the House

Posted on July 17th, 2009 by Jason Rosenbaum in Congress Watch

Both the Ways and Means Committee and the Education and Labor Committee in the House have passed the America's Affordable Health Choices Act, the House's health reform bill.

We have now officially made it farther than Bill Clinton did in the 1990s. It's historic.

Steve says:

This bill doesn't seem to match HCANs goals.

Jim says:

Historic? This is crazy. Veterans of the U.S.A can not even get proper health care, the facilities are outdated the treatment is sub par and the waiting list are long. What makes people think a government funded health care will work if we can't even take care of Veterans. Fix the VA health system before attempting anything bigger.
