The AMA just endorsed the House health reform bill

Here's the letter to Rangel, Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee [pdf]. There are no caveats to their support.
Who knows what's buried in that bill that the AMA had some no-voting Republican insert in an amendment?
The Blue Dogs are saying that they won't support the House bill because the reimbursement rates for doctors under the public insurance plan would not be high enough.
But the AMA is now supporting the House bill in part because it revises the mechanism for Medicare reimbursements, will provide more incentives for primary care without cutting reimbursements for specialists.
Unless I'm missing something, it looks like the Blue Dogs are trying to be holier than the Pope on reimbursement rates.
Hot Damn! It's about time the AMA showed some wisdom. Let's take care of all of our people!
If this thing passes, I think being on medicare and finding a doctor who still takes medicare are going to be a challenge. Not sure how they can do this when they are getting about 80% of costs. How does a business stay viable when its cost are 20% higher than what it is paid?
