UPDATED: With health care leading as the number one cause of bankruptcy in America, you would think most people would understand the deep connection between the health care crisis and the economic crisis. And yet, many people still don't understand the health care crisis and its effects. And they still don't believe us when we tell them the truth about conservatives and their plan for health care.
So, tomorrow, we're having a huge event at Constitution Center in Philadelphia to make sure the politicians in Pennsylvania and the rest of the country know health care must be a priority in 2009. If you're in the area, come on our and attend! (There may even be special guests…)
Special guests will include: Rep. Chaka Fattah, Rep. Bob Brady, and Rep. Allyson Schwartz. Also Gov. Ed Rendell, is on our side for quality, affordable health care and will send Rose Marie Greco, Director of the Governor's Office of Health Care Reform, to talk about why a national health care solution is important.
What: Rally for Health Care for America Now with Members of Congress
When: Oct. 16, 4:30pm
Where: Inside Constitution Center, Philadelphia, PA (The event was moved inside due to rain forecasts.)
Levana, our Director of Online Campaigns, will be there, so make sure you find her and say hi! We'll see you there.
If you would like to volunteer for the event sign up here.
